Nikita Turner from Ballymun Youthreach joined the other two shortlisted entrants as part of the Human Rights competition run jointly by the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) and Youthreach. The prize-giving ceremony was held at the Ombudsman for Children’s Office in Dublin City on December 12th, 2014.

Nikita won third prize of a tablet computer for her entry ‘What Goes On Behind Closed Doors’. This was a mural and performance art piece which tackled the issue of domestic violence and the abuse of alcohol.

ICCL/Youthreach Human Rights Compettion encourages young people in Youthreach centres across Ireland to use their creative talents to explore themes they feel passionate about.
